During her studies, Tamara found herself seeking a high-quality clothing material that brought something new to the conversation. She stumbled upon plant-based leather, recognizing the untapped potential that lay there. After some deep research, and what felt like hundreds of light bulb moments, the concept was born. Stored in her luggage during her flight back home, it now awaited a pitch.

This is when Andrej came on board with a decisive ‘count me in’.
Now, why beer specifically? The biggest brewery in Zagreb sat just across the street from Tamara’s flat, where Andrej and her would work endless hours, often pulling all-nighters to develop the product. 

Serious R&D efforts and milestones were reached once the founding duo secured the help of the immensely capable miracle-makers at the Faculty of Science in Zagreb.
